Otto Josef Lohmann

Otto Josef Lohmann (born April 4, 1838 in Nievenheim , † June 26, 1916 in Düren ) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman. He composed the Kolping song A house of God stands in Cologne on the Rhine .

Otto Josef Lohmann, son of a teacher, attended grammar school in Neuss and then studied theology . In 1862 he received the Cologne Cathedral by Bishop Johann Anton Friedrich Baudri the priesthood .
