Otto Kindt
Otto Kindt (born May 7, 1909 in Paderborn ; † July 12, 2006 in Hamburg ) was a German architect .
Life
Otto Kindt studied from 1928 to 1933 at the technical universities in Darmstadt and Berlin . After working in architectural offices, he studied architecture with Heinrich Tessenow from 1935 to 1938 and became his assistant. He received his doctorate in engineering in 1940 . From 1939 to 1945 he did military service. After the Second World War , Kindt moved to Hamburg and ran an architecture office until 1975.
The German military cemeteries in Helsinki-Honkanummi (inauguration on August 30, 1963) and Rovaniemi-Norvajärvi (inauguration on August 31, 1963) as well as the military cemetery in Bastia (inauguration on August 6, 1975) were created according to Kindt's designs .
In 1975 Otto Kindt received the Heinrich Tessenow Medal .
