Otto Model (lawyer)

Otto Model (born May 26, 1884 in Genthin ; † 1964 ) was a specialist lawyer for tax law and a publicist.

Life

Otto Model was the son of the music teacher Otto Model (1856–1935) and an older brother of Field Marshal Walter Model . After he had passed the Abitur in Erfurt , he studied at the universities of Jena and Halle . He then worked as a judge- martial .

During the First World War he took part as a reserve lieutenant on the Western Front and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Military Order of St. Henry on December 8, 1916 as leader of the 3rd Battery of the Reserve Field Artillery Regiment No. 24 .

He was a member of the government until the mid-1920s , after which he lived as a lawyer and notary in Mühlhausen / Thuringia . In the 1950s he was a lawyer in Moers and later in Bad Godesberg . He is the author of numerous works on constitutional and tax law topics.
