Due to good performances in a game against the leading Viennese club Wiener AF , Noll was appointed to the national team of Austria by the main association ÖFV . He made his debut on May 5, 1912 in Vienna in a 1-1 draw against the Hungarian national team .

He also took part in the Olympic football tournament held in Stockholm from June 29 to July 4, 1912 , played in the main round the round of 16 against the national team of Germany, which he won 5-1, and the quarter-final against the Dutch national team, which he lost 3-1 . In this game he made an unfortunate figure, so that he was replaced in goal by Josef Kaltenbrunner in the subsequent consolation rounds ; The Austrian national team finished fifth at the end of the tournament - together with the teams from Norway, Russia and Hungary - although the final of the consolation round was lost 3-0 to the Hungarian national team.
