Otto Penner
Otto Penner (* 1845 ; † September 16, 1900 ) was a German builder and architect who mainly worked in his hometown of Bonn .
Live and act
Few basic information is known about Otto Penner. His first office as an architect or master builder in Bonn was at Coblenzerstraße 118 (status: 1875), while he himself lived in Poppelsdorf (status: 1879). In 1879 he built a house for himself, designed according to his own design, in Bonn's Südstadt (Arndtstrasse 21). He is known as the architect of 13 mostly closed houses in the southern part of the city. His most important works include the extensive renovation of today's Villa Hammerschmidt , which became known as the official residence of the Federal President, in 1877 and 1878, which he carried out for Leopold Koenig based on a design by Ludwig Bohnstedt , and that for his son Alexander Koenig from 1898 to 1900 as an extension Ornithological Museum (today Museum Koenig ) built at his villa .
Penner had been a member of the Freemason Lodge Friedrich Wilhelm zum Iron Kreuz in Bonn since December 7, 1892 .

Penner was married twice. His first marriage was on February 26, 1878 with Matthilde (* 1857), who was born in Cologne . She produced two children; Matthilde died on June 12, 1880 after giving birth to her second child.
