Otto Schmidtke

Otto Schmidtke (born August 8, 1902 in Riesenburg , West Prussia , † after 1944) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Life

After attending the secondary schools in Riesenburg and Danzig , Schmidtke studied political science , law and modern languages at the University of Hamburg and the Albertus University of Königsberg . On March 1, 1929, he became a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party and the Sturmabteilung . From 1931 he was district commissioner of the party in the Tilsit-Ragnit district and in the Niederung district . From 1933 he was district leader in the Marienwerder district and in the Rosenberg district in West Prussia . In addition, from 1934 he was district administrator in the Heiligenbeil district . After the outbreak of World War II , he served in the army (Wehrmacht) . On January 23, 1942, Schmidtke came to the Reichstag (time of National Socialism) in the replacement process for the deputy Nikolaus Wehner, who died in the war . Until the end of the Nazi regime he represented constituency 1 (East Prussia).
