Otto Stradal

Otto Stradal (born March 12, 1911 in Vienna ; † December 7, 1982 ibid) was an Austrian journalist and writer .

Life

Otto Stradal attended a secondary school . In the 1930s he was initially local and radical editor and from 1937 foreign correspondent for various Viennese daily newspapers, including in the Netherlands and Scandinavia. After the Second World War he also worked for the Wiener Rundfunk. He was editor-in-chief of the " Weltpresse " until 1950 , from 1950 to 1954 he was editor-in-chief of the " Wiener Kurier ", then managing director of the "Neuen Kurier". From 1956, Stradal headed the press department of Austrian Tourism Promotion. He also wrote non-fiction books, mainly about Vienna.
