Alfred Otto Theuerkorn (born January 11, 1843 in Leipzig , † July 16, 1899 in Chemnitz ) was a politician and member of the Saxon state parliament for the German Social Party .

Alfred Otto Theuerkorn was the third son of the grain merchant Johann Christian Carl Theuerkorn (* December 7, 1800 in Giebichenstein near Halle; † September 5, 1879 in Cröbern near Gaschwitz) and his wife Christiane Friederike Auguste née Gasch (* December 2, 1809 in Dresden ; † April 5, 1891 in Chemnitz) born.

From 1860 to 1861 he was matriculated at the Royal School for Workers in Chemnitz. He successfully completed this and worked in Chemnitz as a "civil engineer" and patent attorney . Since at least 1884 he offered as a private scholar a pre-school for a trade, master builder and master craftsman school. From 1894 to 1897 he was an unpaid city ​​councilor in his hometown of Chemnitz, and from 1893 to 1897 Theuerkorn represented Chemnitz 1 in the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament for two electoral terms.

In his spare time he enjoyed playing chess . Otto Theuerkorn was chairman of the Erzgebirge-Vogtland Chess Federation (EVS) and the Chemnitz chess club "Anderssen".
