Ottokar II , also Otakar, († November 28, 1122 ), was Count in Traungau and Chiemgau , Margrave of Styria from 1082 to 1122.

He was the son of Ottokar I and the Willibirg of Carinthia . He was married to Elisabeth, a daughter of the Babenberg Margrave Leopold II of Austria. After a victorious fight on the part of the Gregorians against Brother Adalbero in the context of the investiture dispute , he succeeded him as Margrave in 1082.

He founded in 1080 the later Benedictine Garsten (in Steyr ) as a collegiate ..

After the Eppensteiners , who had provided some dukes of Carinthia, died out in 1122, their rich ownership in the Styrian region came to the Traungauers , who were related by marriage to the Eppensteiners , which strengthened their position in their margraviate. The margraviate was separated from the Duchy of Carinthia in 1122 and immediately subordinated to the realm (year of birth of Styria after Hans Pirchegger).
