Ousmane Dabo (born February 8, 1977 in Forcé near Laval ) is a former French football player .

Career

The defensive midfielder began his football career in 1982 in the Forcé youth team. His first big club was Stade Laval from 1985 to 1990 . Between 1990 and 1995 Dabo played in the youth team at Stade Rennes . In 1995 the Frenchman was brought into the Rennes first team.

After 40 successful competitive games, he went to Serie A for Inter Milan . After just one year at Inter, he moved to Vicenza Calcio on loan . Dabo's next club was AC Parma . In 2000 the globetrotter moved on to the top French league for AS Monaco .

After staying in the principality, I went back to Vicenza Calcio. From 2001 to 2003 the midfielder was under contract with Atalanta Bergamo .

Between 2003 and 2006 Dabo played for Lazio Rome , where he won the Coppa Italia in 2004.

At the beginning of the 2006/07 season, the Frenchman moved to the English Premier League at Manchester City . On May 3, 2007 he was beaten up in training by his teammate Joey Barton . Barton was then suspended. In January 2008 Ousmane Dabo returned to Lazio. There he scored the penalty on May 13, 2009 to win the Coppa Italia .

At the end of the 2009/10 season, his contract was not renewed and Dabo was without a club. Since February 8, 2011, he was in the squad of New England Revolution . After being thrown back from injuries again and again, he announced his retirement from professional football in July 2011.

Dabo played a total of three times in the French national soccer team .
