Precision shooting (Tir de précision)

The German Benjamin Lehmann finished 12th in the qualifying round of precision shooting with 37 points and thus qualified for the round of hope (Repêchage).

The Austrian Oscar Sorio could not qualify as 28th (25 points) as well as the Swiss Luc Camelique as 39th (17 points).

In the Repêchage Benjamin Lehmann took 4th place together with the Belgian Weibel. Both had to play against each other in a jump-off. Initially, the so-called Atelier 1 was shot from a distance of 7 m (bullet in the middle of the target circle.) Since both scored 3 points, Atelier 2 was also shot at (target bullet in the middle of the circle, in front of which Cochonnet at 10 cm distance) shot. Weibel also scored 3 points here, Lehmann 0 points. So Weibel got one round.

World champion was Abdel El Mankari (Morocco) ahead of François Ndiaye, who set a new world record in the semi-finals.
