The Pöllau origin

The Pöllauer Ursprung , also called Pöllauer Ursprungquelle , is a karst spring in the Grebenzen limestone. It is located in the forest on the edge of the village of Pöllau and is connected underground to the north-west Zeutschach origin . Both springs share a common catchment area of around 16 km². Below the Pöllau origin, a blast furnace with a water wheel was operated until 1816 . The source area of ​​the Pöllau origin is fenced with a wooden railing. The karst spring pours 50–160 l / s.

After its source, the Pöllauer Bach flows east through Pöllau. North of Wildbad Einöd it joins the Olsa after about 3.5 km on Friesacher Straße .
