Přední kout is a 410 meter high wooded mountain in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northeast of Hustopeče in the Boleradická vrchovina, a foothill of the Ždánický les and is the highest point in the Hustopečsko microregion .
geography
Surrounding villages are Diváky , Boleradice , Horní Bojanovice , Kurdějov and Nikolčice . To the east lies the Haraska valley. The Pradlenka rises to the southeast, the Kurdějovský stream at the southwestern foot, the Štinkovka to the west and the Divácký potok to the north.
particularities
The mountain was located on the historical language border in Moravia. The village of Gurdau , located at the southwestern foot, belonged to the German-speaking area, all other localities around Přední kout were Czech-speaking. Between 1938 and 1945, the border between the German Reich and the "remaining Czech Republic " or the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia ran southwest of the mountain .
There is a 300 meter high transmission mast on its summit.
On the north-eastern slope lies the 26.33 hectare Roviny nature reserve , which has been protected since 1986. The area consists of dry grassland and scrub on limestone soil, Pannonian oak-hornbeam and downy oak forests and Euro-Siberian oak steppe forests. There is a significant population of orchid plants on the Roviny. The insects found here include the Russian bear , the stag beetle and the great fire butterfly .
