Přestanice (German: Pschestanitz , also Sprestanitz ) is a district of the municipality Hlavňovice in the Czech Okres Klatovy . In 2011, 32 residents lived there permanently. The village is located in the cadastral parish Přestanice and has an area of 11.04 square kilometers.

Přestanice is located at the south-eastern foot of the extinct volcano Borek ( 865 m nm ) at an altitude of 670 m nm

Neighboring towns are Horní Staňkov in the northeast, Cihelna in the east, Svojšice and Maršovice in the southeast, Libětice in the south, Hlavňovice in the southwest, Radostice and Stojanovice in the west and Zahálka, Kouklovna and Velhartice in the northwest.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1290. Around the year 1400 there was a medieval fortress in the local area.

After the abolition of patrimonial Přestanice formed a district of the community Milínov in the judicial district of Schüttenhofen. From 1868 the village belonged to the district of Schüttenhofen . In 1947 the municipality Přestanice was formed, to which the districts Cihelna, Hlavňovice, Horní Staňkov, Milínov, Orlov, Přestanice and Radostice belonged. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960, the Okres Sušice was repealed; Přestanice was assigned to the Okres Klatovy, at the same time the formation of the new municipality Hlavňovice took place.
