PF Thomése , actually Pieter Frans Thomése , (born January 23, 1958 in Doetinchem ) is a Dutch writer and editor .

biography

Thomése was an editor for the daily newspaper in Eindhoven ( Eindhoven's Dagblad ) from 1979 to 1984 . From 1984 on, he continued his history studies at the University of Amsterdam for three years, but without finishing it. He then wrote for the Dutch weekly De Zijd (Die Zeit) and worked for the NRC Handelsblad and various regional newspapers at the same time . Thomése was editor of De Revisor magazine from 1998 to 2001 . The author now lives in Haarlem .

Thomése made his debut as a writer in 1986 with a short story published in the literary magazine De Revisor . In 1990 his first volume of short stories came out under the title Zuidland . His first novel, Vladivostok! on politics in The Hague and the media appeared in 2007.

Thomése has received several literary awards , including the Fintro Literatuurprijs , the Max Pam Award and the AKO Literatuurprijs . His work has been translated into over twenty languages.
