Walter Lehnertz

Walter Heinrich Lehnertz , nickname Waldi , (born February 9, 1967 in Prüm ) is a German art and antiques dealer .

Walter Lehnertz is a trained horse manager . From 1998 until its dissolution in 2002 he was managing director of Walter Lehnertz Garten- und Landschaftsgestaltung GmbH in Mechernich . In the meantime he worked as an employee in the construction industry. Lehnertz has been dealing with antiques since around 1998. After a second herniated disc , from 2007 onwards he worked as “the right hand” of his wife at the time in her antique dealer's treasure chest in Kommern . The marriage ended in divorce in 2013.

Since 2010 Lehnertz has been managing director of MM-R Development GmbH in Mechernich, which among other things dealt with the acquisition of its own real estate, its development, administration and management. The company, which became insolvent in 2016, was liquidated in 2017.

Lehnertz has been managing director of Waldi's Eifel Antik UG since 2016 . For this purpose, he rents sales rooms with around 1000 m² of indoor and outdoor space from his partner in Krekel , where he sells furniture and junk . According to the ZDF and press reports, he also runs a construction company.

Lehnertz achieved national fame through his appearances in the ZDF program Bares for Rares , of which he has been a member of the dealer team since the first season in 2013. Initial bids of 80 euros for higher value objects are his “trademark”. In December 2019 he was a guest on the television program Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel .
