LEDA / PGC 55587 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Serpens the north ecliptic , the estimated 89 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center. Presumably it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair together with NGC 5962 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5972 and IC 1130 .
