Pablo Morales (swimmer)
Pedro Pablo Morales (born December 5, 1964 in Chicago ) is a former American swimmer .
He won one gold and two silver medals at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . In the 100 m butterfly he was second behind Michael Groß , in the 200 m individual medley he was powerless against Alex Baumann , who won in a world record time. He was finally able to achieve his first Olympic victory with the 4 × 100 m relay .
Two years later he was able to win gold over 100 m butterfly at the swimming world championships. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona he was over 100 m butterfly and with the 4 × 100 m relay Olympic champion.
After his career as a swimmer, he became a swimming coach. In 1998 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
