Pablo Villalobos

Pablo Villalobos ( Pablo Villalobos Bazaga ; born May 20, 1978 in Almendralejo ) is a Spanish long-distance runner .

Life

In 2001 he came in 86th place at the World Cross Country Championships , and in 2002 he was Ibero-American champion over 3000 m .

At the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 he was seventh over 5000 m .

In 2009 he switched to road running and became Spanish champion in the half marathon , but did not get past 74th place at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham .

In his debut over the 42.195 km distance, he finished second in the Seville Marathon in 2010 . At the marathon of the European Championships in Barcelona he was fifth and won the European Cup together with his compatriots José Manuel Martínez and Rafael Iglesias .

Pablo Villalobos is 1.78 m tall and weighs 62 kg. He is trained by Antonio Serrano and starts for Puma Chapín Jerez.
