The Town of Pacific is located in south-central Wisconsin, on a great arch of the Wisconsin River . Its confluence at Prairie du Chien in the Mississippi, which forms the border with Minnesota , is around 170 km to the west.
There are several lakes in the Pacific, the largest of which are Swan Lake in the northeast and Lake Columbia in the southwest. Between the west bank of Swan Lake and the Wisconsin River is the Swan Lake State Wildlife Area .

US Highway 51 , which runs along the Wisconsin River and has four lanes, and Wisconsin State Highway 16 , which runs partially congruent here, are the most important roads in the Town of Lodi. The Wisconsin State Highway 33 forms the northern boundary of the town. In addition, the County Highways G and P run through the Town of Pacific. All other roads are subordinate country roads or partly unpaved roads.
Two railroad lines of the Canadian Pacific Railway run through the Town of Pacific for freight traffic .
The Portage Municipal Airport is a small airfield a few kilometers west of the town. The nearest commercial airport is the Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin's capital Madison (around 50 km south).
