Panagiotis Vasilopoulos ( Greek Παναγιώτης Βασιλόπουλος , born February 8, 1984 in Marousi , Athens ) is a Greek basketball player .

Career

Vasilopoulos played for the traditional Greek club PAOK Saloniki before moving to Olympiacos Piraeus in 2005 , for whom he worked until the summer of 2012. On January 7, 2017, the thirteenth matchday of the 2016/17 season , Vasilopoulos played his 300th game in the Basket League . For the 2017/18 season he moved to Aris Saloniki . He had this collaboration terminated in mid-January 2018 in order to be able to switch to AEK Athens . In the summer of 2018, Vasilopoulos signed a two-year contract with GS Peristeri .

With the Greek national basketball team Vasilopoulos was European champion in Belgrade in 2005 . Greece defeated the German team in the final. At the Basketball World Cup 2006 Vasilopoulos reached the final with Greece and won the silver medal there.
