Pandora (in proper spelling: PANDORA) is a Danish company in the jewelry industry. The company was founded in 1982 by the goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie in Copenhagen.

Company history

From the very beginning, Per and Winnie Enevoldsen traveled frequently to Thailand looking for jewelry for their own jewelry store in Copenhagen. However, after a while, they began to focus more on wholesale of imported jewelry from Thailand. In 1987 the very successful wholesale business was ended and the first own jewelry designers were employed, whose designs were made in Thailand from 1989 onwards. The international expansion of sales began in the 2000s. Pandora products are now sold in over 100 countries. Of around 24,030 employees worldwide, over 13,200 are employed in the company's own plant in Thailand. The company has been listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange since 2010 .
