Pang Wei ( Chinese  龐偉  /  庞伟 , Pinyin Pang Wei * 19th July 1986 in Baoding ) is a Chinese sports shooter in the disciplines air pistol and free pistol .

In 2000, Pang Wei started his career at Baoding Sports School. In 2002 he moved to the provincial shooting training center in Hebei . He has been part of the Chinese national team since 2005. Wei won his first title with the air pistol over 10 meters at the 2006 World Championships in Zagreb with 683.8 rings . The following year he was fourth at the Asian Championships (677.5 rings) in Kuwait City and third (682.0 rings) at the World Cup finals in Bangkok , each in the air pistol discipline over 10 meters. At the World Cup in Munich in 2008, Wei finished second (663.3 rings) in the free pistol discipline over 50 meters.

The Chinese celebrated his greatest success at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . After leading with 586.0 rings after the preliminary fight, he prevailed in the final with 688.2 rings against Jin Jong-oh from South Korea.
