Paolo Barbi

Paolo Barbi (born August 23, 1919 in Trieste , † June 10, 2011 in Naples ) was an Italian politician ( DC ).

Life

Paolo Barbi, born in Trieste in 1919, was Undersecretary of State (Sottosegretario) for budgetary issues and economic planning in the Mariano Rumor and Giulio Andreotti governments from 1969 to 1973 . From 1976 to 1979 he was a member of the Italian Senate . From 1979 to 1984 he was a member of the European Parliament . From 1982 to 1984 he led the EPP parliamentary group . In 1986 he was awarded the Robert Schuman Prize .
