Cornelia-Angelika Kampmann-Tennstedt (born October 17, 1945 in Dahlewitz ) is a German costume designer .

Life

Cornelia-Angelika Kampmann-Tennstedt comes from a family of artists. Both parents were artists. Her father, Walter Kampmann, was a member of the “ Novembergruppe ” and the “Berliner Selection”, two renowned artists' associations. Her mother, Kathinka Kampmann , called Kat , belonged to the GEDOK women's artist group.

After finishing school, Kampmann-Tennstedt started an apprenticeship as a tailor and then studied fashion design , later stage costume and dramaturgy at the University of the Arts . After graduating in 1974, she worked as a costume designer, first in Bremen, then in Berlin, at UFA . There she worked as a freelancer for 20 years. There she designed the historical costumes for the Ufa film "The King and His Fool" by Frank Beyer . After that, she went to phoenix film for ten years . This was followed by ten years of Opal-Film, as well as many other film productions all over Germany. She also worked as a costume designer for various programs for the Berlin cabaret Die Stachelschweine .

In 1966 she met the painter and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser and became his muse . The encounter with painting and the graphic works of Walter Kampmann had strongly influenced Hundertwasser. In Hundertwasser's autobiography , it is referred to as "unhappy love". She was married twice, first from 1969 to 1974 with the set designer and painter Florian Eickelberg and from 1980 to 1994 with the voice actor and director and actor Joachim Tennstedt . She has a son with the latter.

Since 2002 she has been an active volunteer for the Shumei spiritual peace organization. Since 2003 she has been running her own Shumei center in Berlin . In 2009 she published her autobiography as a book-on-demand , in which she particularly deals with her time with Hundertwasser.
