Phoenix Film Karlheinz Brunnemann GmbH & Co. Produktions KG was a film production company based in Berlin , founded in 1979 by Hans Redlbach and Karlheinz Brunnemann . It went into the new UFA Fiction in August 2013 .

The artistic direction and the creative structure was determined by Hans Redlbach. Until his death in 1990, all productions were significantly influenced by his ideas and designs. These include, in particular, the series Mrs. Harris films with Inge Meysel , rivals of the racecourse and Sunnyboys (with Carl-Heinz Schroth and Johannes Heesters ). Most recently, the son of the founder, Karlheinz Brunnemann, Markus Brunnemann , pushed ahead with the expansion of series production.

Numerous successful early evening series such as Ein Heim für Tiere ( ZDF ), Jakob and Adele (ZDF), Dr. Stefan Frank ( RTL ) or OP calls Dr. Bruckner (RTL) and family series like Unser Charly (ZDF), Hallo Robbie! (ZDF) or the Sat.1 series Edel & Starck were produced by Phoenix Film. Phoenix Film has been producing Danni Lowinski with Annette Frier and the crime series Flemming for ZDF since 2009 .

The headquarters were on the former UFA site on Oberlandstrasse in the Tempelhof district . UFA was a partner in Phoenix Film.
