Papel Pampa is a town in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Papel Pampa is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Papel Pampa in the province of Gualberto Villarroel . The place is located at an altitude of 3737  m in an extensive hill country directly west of the north-south oriented ridge Serranía de Huayllamarca , which rises here to over 4,500 m.

Papel Pampa lies on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
