Reviews
Christopher Null wrote on filmcritic.com that the film, which is partly bloody and partly contains elements of a love story, could only satisfy Russell Crowe's fans. He makes the other viewers "perplexed".
The lexicon of international films wrote that the film offered a "crude mixture of action elements, romance and slapstick, enriched with bizarre types". It contains some "sometimes very drastic scenes of violence" that lack "the comprehensible integration into a film aesthetic concept". In this way, "the impression of a little talented Tarantino plagiarist" remains .
