Wilhelm Pargmann

Wilhelm Pargmann (born February 20, 1884 in Plau am See , † December 4, 1944 in Basel ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and in the Weimar Republic a member of the Prussian State Assembly and the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania .

Life

Wilhelm Pargmann learned the profession of printer and typesetter after graduating from Tertia . From 1914 he was managing director of the " People's newspaper " in Mulhouse . In February 1919 he became managing director of the party publishing house and the printing company of the newspaper “ Volksbote ”, which appears in Stettin .

From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Prussian state assembly . From 1921 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament and the Provincial Committee of the Province of Pomerania . He was a member of the district executive committee of the SPD in Pomerania . He was an unpaid city councilor in Stettin and second chairman of the local health insurance fund (OKK).

After the seizure of power by the Nazis , he was imprisoned in 1933 and emigrated extended period after his release in Switzerland . He died in Basel in 1944.
