Paris is a city and administrative center of the US Henry County in the state of Tennessee , 138 kilometers west of Nashville . In 1900 Paris had 2018 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 3881 and 1940 6395 inhabitants. According to the 2002 census, 9763 people lived in Paris at the time.
An 18 m replica of the original Eiffel Tower in Paris is in the memorial park of the place . It was originally constructed by Christian Brothers University in the early 1990s , but suffered from wood decay and was soon replaced by a metal structure. Paris is also home to the "World's Biggest Fish Fry", the world's largest fried fish.
There are also small companies in Paris that produce car accessories, small electric motors, metal doors, rubber parts and school furniture.
Culture
Paris is known for its art sponsorship. Many music festivals take place in the town hall, the Krider Performing Arts Center, which is attached to the town's public primary school.
