The 1995 parliamentary elections in Iceland took place on April 8, 1995. In the election, the 63 MPs of the Althing were redefined.

Despite losing a seat, the election brought a victory for the Independence Party under Prime Minister Davíð Oddsson . It was able to unite 37.1% of the votes.

Davíð decided to end the cooperation with the Social Democratic Party , which had lost three seats in the election, and to form a government with the strengthened Progress Party .

What was new was represented in Parliament the left-wing populist party People's Awakening (Þjóðvaki), which differs from the 1994 People's Alliance had split off.

Of the 191,973 eligible voters, 167,751 voted, corresponding to a turnout of around 87.4%. 2,708 or around 1.6% of the votes were invalid.
