Partit Occitan

The Partit Occitan is a party in France , which was founded in Toulouse in 1987 and sees itself as left , ecological and regionalist . Even if the Partit Occitan is not represented in parliament, it is one of the largest regional parties in the country.

The region it represents is Occitania , a linguistic region that roughly corresponds to the southern half of France and the largest cities of which are Marseille and Toulouse. One city in which the Partit Occitan was able to gain at least marginal importance is Bordeaux . The party is a member of the European Free Alliance .
