Mebyon Kernow (full name: Mebyon Kernow - The Party for Cornwall , abbreviation MK ) is a regional party in Cornwall that works for greater autonomy in the region. The party calls for a full regional parliament such as in Scotland for Cornwall and generally represents a social democratic - ecological orientation.
MK is a member of the European party European Free Alliance . The party currently has four MPs on Cornwall Council , the local parliament for the county of Cornwall , as well as 27 council members in villages and towns.
