Pascal Dion (born August 8, 1994 in Montreal ) is a Canadian short tracker .

Career

Dion first appeared internationally in February 2015 at the Winter Universiade in Granada . There he was fourth over 1500 m. In December 2015 Nagano ran his first World Cup races and finished 13th and seventh over 500 m. With the season he came in third place. In the 2016/17 season he achieved seven top ten positions in the individual World Cup, including second place over 1000 m in Gangneung . He also achieved second place with the relay in Gangneung. At the 2017 World Championships in Rotterdam , he finished fifth in the relay. In the following season he won his first World Cup victories with the relay in Budapest and Dordrecht and achieved third place with the relay in Shanghai . At the season highlight, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he won the bronze medal in the 5000 m relay and finished tenth in the 1500 m run. In March 2018 he won the silver medal with the relay at the World Championships in Montreal . In the all-around competition he achieved 22nd place there.

In the 2018/19 season Dion won in Dresden with the relay and ran in Almaty in second place with the relay. In the following season, he triumphed in Dordrecht with the relay and finished third in Salt Lake City with the relay and in Shanghai with the mixed relay. At the Four Continents Championships in Montreal in 2020 , he won the silver medal with the relay.
