Pascal Rémond

Pascal Rémond (born April 23, 1977 in Stuttgart ) is a German cameraman ( Director of Photography ) for feature films and advertising.

Life

Personal

Growing up in Stuttgart , he passed his Abitur in 1997 at a vocational high school in Waiblingen . He completed his film and media studies with a focus on image design at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg in 2004 with a diploma. He lives in Stuttgart and works as a freelancer.

Feature films

In 2001 he was involved in the short film Operation Durante , directed by Oliver Frohnauer. Two more short films, Homerun and Damals & heute, followed in 2002. All three films were produced by the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy. In 2004 the short film Nachtschicht followed , which was produced by the Merz Academy . In 2005 he was a cameraman for the diploma film direction life of Stephan Rick of which this 2005 Honor Award of the Jury International Krakow Film Festival and the 2006 Studio Hamburg Newcomer Award was awarded in the category Audience Award. In 2006, Rémond was involved in the German television film Schiller as a second-unit cameraman. In 2010 he was the head cameraman for the television series Alpha 0.7 - The enemy in you , for four episodes of the series SOKO Stuttgart and the thriller Black Forest . In 2011 he was the cameraman for the Swiss-German film The Devil of Milan based on the novel by Martin Suter .

Music videos / commercials

From 2000, Rémond worked as a cameraman for commercials and music videos . During his studies he worked as a cameraman in commercials for the companies Wella , Wüstenrot and Tchibo . In 2002 he was head of the camera team for the music video for the song Waiting by the Swiss pop band Lunik , which won first prize at the 2002 Toronto International Online Film Festival. More music videos for Lunik and the band Crustation followed , but primarily as a cameraman for over 200 commercials. Among other things, the spot Grandma for IKEA , in which he was involved, received the silver David at the 2005 Porsche Award (Porsche Young Talent Award for International Advertising Film ) and was nominated for the Young Directors Award in Cannes . Other companies in whose commercials he was involved included Mercedes-Benz , Porsche , Hugo Boss , Poco with Daniela Katzenberger and Thalia .
