Patrice Wymore

Patrice Wymore (born December 17, 1926 in Miltonvale , Kansas , † March 22, 2014 in Portland Parish , Jamaica ) was an American actress .

Life

Wymore began touring with her family as a vaudeville entertainer at the age of six . In 1947 she took part in a concert in New York City because she could sing well. She went to Broadway and won for her role in the musical Hold it! the Theater World Award . After appearing in All for Love in 1949 , she was signed to Warner Bros. and went to Hollywood .

She met her future husband, Errol Flynn , while filming For A Fistful of Money , and moved to Portland Parish, Jamaica in the 1950s, where she lived until the end.

Wymore was mostly active in the 1950s and 1960s, starring alongside Doris Day , Kirk Douglas , Randolph Scott and Frank Sinatra . In Frankie and his cronies from 1960, she played Sinatra's friend.

After 1955, Wymore took a break to raise her daughter. Her husband's alcohol and drug problems led to the separation, but they never got divorced. After Errol Flynn's death in 1959, Wymore appeared in several musicals.

She died of natural causes at the age of 87.
