Patrick Abada
Patrick Abada (born March 20, 1954 in Colombes ) is a former French pole vaulter .
In 1973 he was sixth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Rotterdam and in 1974 ninth at the European Athletics Championships in Rome .
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal he came fourth, and at the 1978 European Championships in Prague he was ninth again.
In 1979 he was runner-up in the Athletics World Cup and won bronze at the Universiade . He also received bronze at the European Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen in 1980 and in Budapest in 1983 .
A sixth place at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 was followed shortly thereafter by gold at the Mediterranean Games . At the World Indoor Athletics Games in Paris in 1985 , he finished fourth.
In 1979 he became French indoor champion.
