Patrick Lloyd "Pat" Daley (born March 27, 1959 in Marville ) is a former Canadian - French ice hockey player who played for the Winnipeg Jets in the National Hockey League from 1975 to 1994 .
Career
Born in France, Patrick Daley grew up in Canada and began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league QMJHL , in which he was active from 1975 to 1979 for National de Laval and Junior de Montréal . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 1979 in the fourth round as a total of 82nd player from the Winnipeg Jets , for which he scored a goal in twelve games in the National Hockey League in the following two seasons . Mainly, however, the defender came to missions for their farm team from the Central Hockey League , the Tulsa Oilers . After a year with the Fredericton Express from the American Hockey League , the left shooter returned to his French homeland in 1982, where he spent the following three years with ASG Tours in the Ligue Magnus .
In the summer of 1985 Daley received a contract with the Français Volants , with whom he was runner-up in the following two years. The former NHL player then spent a season at HC Gap before he was on the ice from 1988 to 1991 for Rouen Hockey Elite 76 , with whom he was French champion for the first and only time in his career in the 1989/90 season . In the following season, the Frenchman with a Canadian passport was runner-up with Rouen.
After a two-year break, Patrick Daley ended his career with Brest Albatros Hockey at the age of 35, for which he scored nine points, including five goals, in a total of 25 games in the 1993/94 season.
International
For Canada , Daley took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 1978 , where he won the bronze medal with his team. After his return to France, he decided to play for the French national team in the senior division and competed for them at the B World Championships in 1986 and 1987 .
