Life

Private

Doetsch grew up in Dieblich-Berg on the Moselle , where he lived until he was 20 years old. After his school education, he completed an apprenticeship as a roofer and then did his basic military service in the Freiherr-vom-Stein barracks with the KRK unit 2/370 in Diez.

From the age of 16 Doetsch had the desire to “become a stuntman and be in front of the camera”. However, he first began further training as a plant security specialist, which he did not complete in full, but only ended with the weapons and expertise test according to §34a.

First experience

Doetsch received his first small speaking role as a policeman between 2001/2002 in the Koblenz benefit crime thriller Der Pralinenmörder . However, the scene with him was never published because he did not appear for a new shoot due to personal circumstances and the role was cast elsewhere.

In 2002, Doetsch received a two-year stunt training from the German film and stunt production company Action Concept in Hürth. After a few days, the first requests were made to fill different roles as stunt double and extra. Among other things, he jumped in several times as a double for the main actors Tom Beck and Christian Oliver from the RTL action series Alarm for Cobra 11 .

In 2003 he moved to Cologne and, in addition to training as a stuntman, took additional acting lessons at the Cologne-based theater academy . The skills he learned there he was able to use in the action short film Hundred Degrees , in which he played one of the main characters (The Jealous One ). Towards the end of his apprenticeship, he worked both in front of and behind the camera for the movie The Clown - Payday .

Return and company formation

In 2004 Doetsch returned to his home region to set up his own and first film and stunt production company ( Action Movie ). It took a few years before he was able to put his ideas and concepts into practice in the Koblenz area . In the meantime he appeared repeatedly in various programs and series as a double and / or extra and kept himself afloat with various part-time jobs. He organized his own small film projects and stunt shows. He gained acting experience e.g. B. in some documentaries, as well as leading actor in several episodes of the Sat.1 series Alexander Richter Hold .

breakthrough

In March 2007 the idea followed to expand the business model by founding an own stunt school. After about two years of planning and preparation, the opening of the first stunt school in Rhineland-Palatinate followed in May 2009 on the former army airfield in Mendig .

Because of this first-time event, the media became aware of the company and reported about it on TV and in magazines. Large production companies and television stations such as B. RTL , SAT1 , VOX , PRO7 followed.

End of career

In November 2012, Doetsch unexpectedly ended his stunt career, dissolved the Action Movie company for no real reason and disappeared from the TV screen without a trace. Three years later he suddenly reappeared as a gaming streamer on the Twitch platform with a specially designed broadcast program. Due to professional changes and ideas that could not be implemented, Doetsch temporarily stopped his Twitch channel after a year of broadcasting.

Second coming

In one of his self-produced videos, which he published on his YouTube channel with the name "VerRickT", he took a position for the first time after five years and commented on the end of his company and career at that time.

Guinness World Records

In the RTL2 show We bring the record to Germany , Doetsch set a new world record in 2011. He jumped from a height of 7.04 m into a paddling pool filled with chocolate kisses measuring 2 × 1 × 0.50 meters ( Highest jump into chocolate covered marshmallows 7.04m ).

In March 2012 he broke his own record in Rome with a height of 8.5 m in the Italian show Lo Show dei Record ( Highest jump into chocolate covered marshmallows 8.50 m ).

On May 21, 2017 Patrick got back his world record in the ARD live broadcast "Immer wieder Sonntags" with a jump from a height of 9 meters, which an American with 8.80m had held for 5 years.
