Patrick Urban

Patrick Urban (born December 24, 1990 in Lübeck ) is a German-Polish karateka and WSKA world champion.

Athletic resume

Patrick Urban started taking karate lessons at the Karate Dojo in Lübeck at the age of ten and is the current German champion in the category Kumite Men -67 kg.

At the World Shotokan Karate Do World Championship in Liverpool in 2013 , Urban was able to secure the silver medal with the Polish Kumite team selection. In 2015 Urban won the final over England with the Polish national team and secured the WSKA world title. Urban has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein regional squad since 2002 and has achieved national and international success. In 2013 Urban was awarded the golden badge of honor by the Karate Association Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, Urban was awarded numerous plaques by the Schleswig-Holstein State Sports Association, the Schleswig-Holstein State Government and the Hanseatic City of Lübeck. Because of better prospects, Urban decided to change from the Polish national team to the national team of the German Karate Association, for which he had already fought in the junior team. On December 9, 2016, he was appointed to the federal squad of the German Karate Association.
