Patrick Zimmermann (born October 26, 1991 in Augsburg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with EHC Königsbrunn from the Bayern League since September 2016 .

Career

Zimmermann began his career with the Augsburger Panthers and played very successfully with the Panthers in the youth league before he came to the youth department of SC Riessersee during the 2008/09 season and was there in the DNL team. In the following season Zimmermann was used exclusively in the first team that took part in the game of the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga .

After SC Riessersee went into the league for financial reasons in the 2010/11 season , Zimmermann was used there in the DNL and Oberliga team. This season he made 72 appearances (including playoffs) and won the league title with SC Riessersee. At the end of this season Zimmermann announced that he would be leaving SC Riessersee and moved to the Bayern division ESV Königsbrunn for the 2011/12 season . He justified his change with the fact that he would study in Augsburg.
