Paul Bourdiaudhy

Paul Bourdiaudhy (* 1948 in Beveren-Waas ) is a Belgian jazz - and entertainment musicians ( trumpet , and drums , percussion , bass trumpet ) and conductor.

Bourdiaudhy attended the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp, where he received first prize in the percussion category in 1969. In 1970 he toured with François Glorieux . From 1971 he played in the Antwerp Big Band and the Yellow City Band , both of which consisted of musicians from the Grand Orchester of RTB (under the direction of Henri Segers ) and the BRT Jazzorkest under the direction of Francis Bay . With the BRT Jazzorkest he also performed at the Middelheim Jazz Festival . He also played in Marc Moulins' band Placebo and toured with Freddy Delagée from 1973 to 1975 and with the Bob Porter Quintet and its orchestra ( Ke Atas / Meeting You , 1978). In the 1980s he worked with Christine Schaller and the Act 12 Big Band (conducted by Félix Simtaine ), as well as with Michel Herr and Guy Cabay ( Miroirs d'ailleurs , 1985). As a conductor, he led various big bands , such as his Gruncho Granola Big Band , but also fanfares . In the field of jazz he was involved in 18 recording sessions from 1973 to 1992.
