Paul Döring
Paul Doering (* 27. March 1911 , † unknown) was a German football coach who in the 1950s in Dresden the SG People's Police / Dynamo Dresden and the BSG Rotation Dresden in the GDR Oberliga supervised.
Athletic career
Döring belonged in summer 1950 for the coaching staff of the Sichtungslehrgangs the GDR sports association German People's Police , which in forestry talented football players from the Police Sports Communities of the GDR should for the new giants of the sports association that SG People's Police Dresden, select. As an assistant coach alongside Fritz Sack , Döring looked after the newly formed team of SG VP Dresden in the 1950/51 season, which had been incorporated into the highest soccer league in the GDR (Oberliga) without any athletic qualifications.
After a nearly one-year interlude with the newly promoted to the second-rate GDR league , SG Volkspolizei Weimar , where he laid the foundation for relegation, Döring returned to SG VP Dresden in March 1952, where he did the previous one on matchday 28 of the 1951/52 season Coach Rolf Kukowitsch replaced. In the remaining eleven league games he secured the SG the runner-up and led the team to win the GDR soccer cup. In 1953 the team - the SG had been renamed Dynamo Dresden during the season - under the direction of Paul Döring GDR champions.
Despite these successes, Döring left SG Dynamo and moved to local rivals and league rivals BSG Rotation Dresden. He looked after the league team during the 1953/54 season, but could not improve them compared to the previous season. After fourth place in 1952/53, the BSG rotation under Döring only reached seventh place. After the end of the season he was sacked as coach of the league team.
Then Paul Döring no longer appeared in the higher-class GDR football. In the 1957 cup season he once again attracted attention across the GDR when he reached the first main round in the GDR soccer cup after two qualifying rounds with the fifth-rate BSG rotation Wesenitztal ( activist Laubusch 1: 6).
