Rolf Kukowitsch (born October 13, 1912 - † October 26, 1997 ) was a German football coach .

In the 1950s he was in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR . With the BSG Chemie Leipzig he was GDR master in 1950/51 . He is also one of six coaches at Dynamo Dresden with several terms in office.

Kukowitsch began his way through the upper league of the German Sports Committee , later GDR upper league, at BSG Chemie Leipzig. Since 1949, Fritz Krauss had worked as a trainer for the predecessor associations SG Leutzsch and ZSG Industrie . Krauss resigned after the 15th matchday of the 1950/51 season on November 28, 1950 as coach of the league team of Chemistry Leipzig. After that, the players Walter Rose , Horst Scherbaum and Heinz Fröhlich took over the training. After another eight-week interlude with the coach Hans Höfer , Rolf Kukowitsch was appointed as the new coach on May 1, 1951. In the last two league games he led Chemie to the top of the table together with Turbine Erfurt. In the playoff for the GDR championship, his team won 2-0 over Erfurt on May 20, 1951 in Chemnitz. He was then replaced again by Hans Höfer.

At the upper division club SG Volkspolizei Dresden Fritz Sack ended his work as a coach after the 5th day of the 1951/52 season. On September 24, 1951, Kukowitsch took over the coaching position when the People's Police were in second place in the table. When he was replaced by Paul Döring at the end of February 1952 , the Dresden team were again in 3rd place a few game days before the end of the season.

On March 1, 1952, Kukowitsch took over the coaching office of Walter Fritzsch at the top division newcomer BSG Wismut Aue and secured the team with 7th place at the end of the season. On May 31, 1952, Wismut Aue played a friendly against Wormatia Worms . Although Aues center forward Willy Tröger had been banned four days earlier by the GDR Sports Committee (DS) , he was used by coach Kukowitsch in this encounter. The DS took this as an opportunity to impose draconian penalties. In addition to a six-month ban for the leading officials of the BSG Wismut, the team involved in the Worms game was suspended for two months and coach Kukowitsch's coaching license was revoked for three months. Wismut Aue then separated from Kukowitsch for a long time.

In the course of the 1956 season, Dynamo Dresden, the successor to the SG Volkspolizei and now playing in the third-class II. GDR League , brought Rolf Kukowitsch to replace the previous coach Heinz Werner . Kukowitsch took over the team on Matchday 14, but could not prevent Dynamo from relegating to the district league at the end of the season . After that, Kukowitsch was no longer represented in higher-class football.
