Dora Deliyska

Dora Deliyska ( Bulgarian Дора Делийска ; born October 31, 1980 in Pleven , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian pianist. She currently lives in Vienna .

Life

Dora Deliyska received her first piano lessons at the age of five and gave her first public concert at the age of nine. She completed her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with professors Jürg von Vintschger, Stefan Vladar and Noel Flores, where she obtained her master's degree in 2010. She received the postgraduate diploma at the Oxana Yablonskaya Piano Institute in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana .

In March 2008, Dora Deliyska played in Sofia with the Classic FM Radio Orchestra conducted by Sergei Pavlov, the Piano Concerto no. 2 by Franz Liszt . In March 2015, Dora Deliyska performed together with the actor and director Karl Markovics with ETA Hoffmann's life views of the cat Murr in the Glass Hall of the Vienna Musikverein and played Robert Schumann's Kreisleriana . Her CDs and DVDs have also been published regularly since 2009.

In March 2016 Dora Deliyska presented her project “BACH” in the Wiener Konzerthaus with selected works by Johann Sebastian Bach , Frédéric Chopin and Dmitri Shostakovich in the keys of b, a, c, h.

  • 1997: Special prize at the Bulgarian National Music Competition “ Svetoslav Obretenov ”.
  • 1998: Special prize for the best performance of a work by Sergej Rachmaninoff at the piano competition for Russian music in Pleven.
  • 1998: First Prize and Special Prize of the National Music Academy “Pantscho Vladigerow ” in Sofia.
  • 1998: First prize at the National Competition for Piano Accompaniment in Pleven.
  • 2002: First prize at the Yamaha piano competition in Linz .
  • 2003: First prize of the International Summer Academy Prague-Vienna-Budapest for the performance of a work of Viennese classical music;
  • 2003: First prize at the “Stefano Marizza” international piano competition in Trieste .
