Paul Henderson (athlete)

Paul John Henderson (born March 13, 1971 in Casino , New South Wales ) is a former Australian sprinter who specialized in the 100-meter run and made an international appearance above all as a relay runner.

At the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart , he finished fifth with the Australian 4 x 100 meter relay . The greatest success of his career he achieved two years later at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 . During the season he won the silver medal with Tim Jackson , Steve Brimacombe and Damien Marsh in 38.50 s, behind Canada (38.31 s) and ahead of Italy (39.07 s). The day before, the Australian quartet had set an Oceania record in the semifinals with a time of 38.17 s. In the 100-meter run, Henderson reached the quarter-finals in Gothenburg.

Henderson took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , but missed the finals with the relay due to a substitution error and was eliminated in the 100-meter run in the preliminary round.

Paul Henderson is 1.85 m tall and had a competition weight of 81 kg.
