Paul Henry Walsh

Paul Henry Walsh OP (born August 17, 1937 in Brooklyn - † October 18, 2014 ) was an American clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Rockville Center .

Life

Paul Henry Walsh graduated from Providence College, Rhode Island with a bachelor's degree and joined the Dominican order . He studied philosophy and theology at the religious colleges in Dover and Washington, DC He made his profession on August 16, 1963 and was ordained a priest on June 9, 1966 . He was in on December 13, 1984 the clergy of the Diocese of Rockville Center incardinated and was in counseling on Long Iceland operates.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop in Rockville Center and Titular Bishop of Abthugni on April 3, 2003 . He was ordained episcopal on May 29, 2003 in St. Agnes Cathedral by the Bishop of Rockville Center, William Francis Murphy ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops John Charles Dunne and Emil Aloysius Wcela from Rockville Center. He was episcopal vicar for the western part of the diocese and pastor of the Queen of the Holy Rosary parish in Roosevelt.

On August 17, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
