Paul Loosen

Paul Loosen (born January 5, 1924 in Ürzig ; † February 2, 2001 in Bernkastel-Kues ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and grammar school , he passed an Abitur in 1943 . After serving in the war and as a prisoner of war , he was able to take his Abitur in 1946 , which was followed by studying German, history and geography and, from 1948, studying law in Bonn . After the first state examination in law in 1951, he was awarded a doctorate in 1953. jur. From 1954 to 1955 he attended courses in viticulture and cellar management at the Weinbaulehranstalt Kreuznach and Hessische Lehr- und Forschungsanstalt Geisenheim . He then worked in the management of a wine-growing business in Bernkastel-Kues.

Political party

Loosen belonged to the NSDAP from 1942. After the war he became a member of the CDU in 1956. He was a member of the board of the CDU district association Bernkastel-Wittlich and chairman of the CDU city association Bernkastel-Kues.

MP

Loosen was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament as a replacement for Günther Schartz from January 1, 1977 to May 17, 1979. He was a member of the Agriculture, Viticulture and Environment Committee and the Petitions Committee.

He was elected to the district councils of Bernkastel and Bernkastel-Wittlich and exercised the function of district deputy.

In 1979 he was a member of the 7th Federal Assembly .

He was deputy chairman of the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer winegrowing association, second chairman of the farmers and winegrowers' association of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district and a member of the board of the German winegrowing association .
