Paul Maxwell (born November 12, 1921 in Winnipeg , Manitoba , † December 19, 1991 in London , England ) was a Canadian actor .

Life

Paul Maxwell began his career in the United States in 1957 . In the following year he had numerous guest roles in successful formats such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Police Report . At the beginning of the 1960s he moved to England, where he was able to continue his career in film and television. So he played in 1961 in two episodes of Secret Order for John Drake and had a supporting role in 1963 Guy Hamilton's plea for a murderer alongside Robert Mitchum . From 1962 he spoke Colonel Steve Zodiac in Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Supermarionation series Fireball XL5 , other roles he spoke for Anderson's Captain Scarlet and Revenge of the Mysterons and in the feature film Firebirds ready to start . In the mid-1960s he also played theater in London's West End and had a recurring role in the soap opera Coronation Street . From the mid-1970s, in addition to his television roles, he received more engagements in major cinema productions, most recently in James Cameron's horror film Aliens - The Return and Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade .
