Paul Reinehr

Paul Reinehr (born February 22, 1922 in Nettersheim ; † December 20, 2009 in Bergisch Gladbach ) was a German special school principal . He became known regionally as a local researcher, author and painter.

Life

Reinehr was married and had four children. He was a special school teacher and headed the special school for the learning disabled, which had been set up in Alt Refrath (An der Wolfsmaar) since 1968 . It was later renamed Wilhelm-Wagener-Schule and moved to Ginsterweg / Mohnweg.

Hobby and art

In his private life he has dealt intensively with the history of Moitzfeld and has written literature about it. He also supported the Moitzfeld village community with their publications. His special hobby was painting . He felt drawn to Rhenish Expressionism . City and landscape pictures, as well as still lifes and flower pictures were his focal points, which he especially loved. The watercolor , the oil and later also the tempera painting were his preferred techniques. In later years he liked to experiment with the collage technique (paper, cardboard and colored powder).

Between 1976 and 2002, 27 exhibitions of his works took place in Bergisch Gladbach, Gummersbach , Cologne , Odenthal , Overath , Rösrath and Solingen . There was a commemorative exhibition in 2011 in the Feinzeug Gallery in Bergisch Gladbach and an anniversary exhibition in 2013 in the Odenthal Town Hall Gallery.
